Texarkana pastor accused of Child Sexual Assault held on $500K bail
On Wednesday, September 9 Louie Ben George II, 87, of Wake Village, Texas was arrested for being charged with sexual assault of a child.
According to TXK Today, court records have revealed that last week's arrest of George was based on the allegations that go back from thirty years ago. The affidavit filed on Monday accused George of abusing a young child during Wednesday night bible studies inside the pastor's office of Oak Grove Baptist Church in the 1990's.
The victim, now an adult has come forward with text messages from George admitting and apologizing for what he did. Two other women have come forward to the Texarkana Police Department with allegations that George was also sexually inappropriate with them when they were teenagers.
The Texarkana Texas Police Department says that they believe there could be other victims of George, because of his long running term as a Pastor at the church. George remains in the Bowie County Jail with a bail set at $500,000, if convicted of his charges, he faces up to twenty years in prison.
